This is great news to have such blog.

Would you please write more about the Municipality plans for Rainbow street. I am working on a shop there and would like to know more details about when it is going to finish and what plans you have for it.

It seems Rainbow Street is still under construction, but I see cars driving on it sometimes. I fear it might be ruined before it's official opening.

It would be best to block the entrances so cars can't get in... or maybe have a police patrol on foot at night to prevent that.

The claim in the press release a few days ago about WiFi thru Umniah on Wakalat is not very accurate. Many of us have not been able to connect, and the stores along the street say the connection doesnt quite work. So, any tips on how to enjoy the promises of this public-private partnership pledging it's corporate social responsibility? thanks

Regarding Wakalat St., I think GAM should support micro-enterprises in Jordan by organizing regular bazaars there. I'd love really to find some good hand-made things available for sale there. why not license for painters to sell portraits? I'm sure this would make it vivid and full of life. :)

I wanna share you some pictures with comments from the Wakalat street. I took it the month after they opened it.I love this project and my expectations were much higher than the results but I still say it's a very innovative concept for the city of Amman. If there were some mistakes we can learn from them and we shall all cooperate in building and developing our city. I know that many good people were behind this project and I hope they continue in this direction maybe one day we see all Amman streets as pedestrians, and parks celebrating it's people and cultures.

What do the merchants/F&B outlets on Wakalat say about the change? Does it work for their business? AM

أعقتد أن ترصيف شارع الوكالات كان من أكبر أخطاء أمانة عمان والمتضرر المباشر من الترصيف هو التاجر ، كنت أنا شخصيا في السابق أتجه لشارع الوكالات للتبضع أكثر من عشر مرات في السنه ، ومنذ ترصيف الشارع لم أذهب هناك أبدا أنا وعائلتي ، كيف لي التسوق في البرد والشتاء ؟ كيف ممكن الوقوف بالسيارة بمسافة بعيدة عن المحلات التجارية ؟ هل قامت أمانة عمان بارجاع رسوم بدل المواقف التي دفعت منذ سنوات من أصحاب البنايات التجارية بدل مواقف والتي كانت بعشرات الألوف ؟ كيف يمكن للأمانة أخذ هذه المبالغ بدل مواقف ثم ترصيف الشارع ؟ ألا تعتقد أمانة عمان أن الضرر كبير جدا على أصحاب المباني التجارية وخصوصا المكاتب علما بأن قطعة الأرض في هذا الشارع أصبحت بالملايين والاستثمار فيه حاليا غير مجدي أبدا ؟! الاعتراف بالخطأ مش عيب وأعتقد أن الأمانة يجب فتح الشارع مجددا .
